Each home is unique in the type of magic performance it requires. I've tried to outline the different shows below:
If your residents like to get involved; I like to perform my "Sherlock Holmes Magic Show". This is ten tricks all themed around the great detective. The tricks are interactive with the audience. They get to choose numbers, make decisions and even join me on stage if they wish. They will see me solve a Rubik's Cube with my eyes closed and a Sudoku puzzle in under a minute. The show usually lasts around 45 minutes with a picture game towards the end.
For 2026, I have written a new show called "The Wizard of Time" which is a 40-minute stage show manipulating time in various ways. This show is great for second visits to the same home.
If your residents are non-interactive, then I perform a show primarily to music. These are visual tricks that they can sit and watch. I still talk to your guests but the level of engagement in this show is low. The show runs for around 40 minutes.
This show includes circus demonstrations with plate spinning and hula hoops. Along with sleight of hand routines, bending metal and restoring a torn card, all performed to music.
The third type are those who prefer a variation of my children's show. This includes ventriloquist routines with a Crocodile, Shark and Monkey puppet. Tricks where they make pictures appear in a colouring book or find the missing piece of a jigsaw puzzle.
There is lots of audience involvement in this show but usually I go to them (rather than they come up on stage). This show is usually 50 minutes.
